Dr. Lori Nettleton
Dr. Lori Nettleton is best known for advice you can trust and pain free dentistry. She has been voted "Best Dentist" in San Diego Magazine for years. Many of her family clients have been seeing her for generations. Schools have field trips to her practice, which is joy for her.
Dr. Lori has owned her seaside practice for over 20 years. Before then she used to ride her bike by it everyday on her way to work at the Petersons dental practice by UCSD. She always thought it would make a dream practice with its beach village location. One day she got her nerve up, parked the bike, walked in and asked if the practice might possibly be up for sale someday, the dentist replied he was thinking about retiring! Soon a deal was struck and La Jolla Shores Dental became a reality.
A native Californian, she was an emergency room nurse and being a pilot, owned and operated an air ambulance company before she discovered her love of dentistry. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Cal State Fresno, studied chemistry at UCSB and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery University of the Pacific. She recently completed a year of postgraduate study at USC in full mouth reconstruction.

La Jolla Shores Dental is excited to introduce the newest member of our team making Fridays available to our patients, Dr. BreeAnn Christiansen. She has a unique and caring approach to dentistry that will certainly complement our seaside practice’s emphasis on personal patient care.
Dr. Bree achieved her Doctor of Dental Surgery with Dean's List recognition from Loma Linda University. She is an active member of the California Dental Association since 2010 and the San Diego County Dental Society since 2014. She has also lectured at the Gerson Institute in San Diego about common misconceptions of dental treatment and the best holistic or non-toxic therapies for patients who have complex health needs.
Dr. Bree is actively learning emerging techniques and products she feels could improve her patients’ care. She takes care to learn what the patient wants and expects when approaching any dental treatment, especially esthetic improvements on front teeth. Being meticulous by nature, she takes a clinical approach that best encourages that her work will last for years to come.
"I see dentistry as an art; it requires creativity, innovation and vision. With the compassion I have for patients, I am always excited to use my imagination to promote general health and beautiful smiles. To say that I love what I do is an understatement. I value my role in my patients' health and their trust means a lot to me."
